This is a five-knob fuzz using vintage 1950s NPN germanium transistors. The circuit is not modeled after any classic fuzz design, but should have been around when Leary was still lucid. Although the five knobs are named for the parameters over which they seem to have the most control, please don't hold me to it. There are controls for various operating levels and biases and basically shape your own personalized fuzz.
Reverse Power
This special edition Reverse Fuzz Factory Engraved contains vintage 1950s NPN germanium transistors that require reverse polarity power of 9VDC and 30mA or less. If you're using a brick-type supply, you'll need to use polarity reversal cables - these usually have red ends. Otherwise you will need to use an independent power supply that is center or tip positive. You cannot use a daisy-chain power system or non-isolated power supply with this device. Standard 9v batteries are okay as well.
