2022 Hofner 500/1 V64 RI Violin Beatle Bass Autumn Sunburst 1 of 2

We had two of these Limited Edition Hofners built. They are in a beautiful Autumn Burst. It is a gorgeous light bust finish. The maple is incredibly flamed. Just look at the pictures. 

Hofner's iconic Violin bass in it's 1964 iteration, with a bound fingerboard and a slimmer neck profile. Everything else is classic Hofner construction to reproduce the classic Beatle-Bass sound. There's the fully hollow body with a carved spruce top and some gorgeous flame maple back and sides. Then there's the twin staple top pickups, along with the short scale and flat-wound strings produce the thumpy tone that has no equal. The expert craftsmanship extends to the finish-- no one does a sunburst like Hofner. An all around great piece!

The Hofner 500/1 violin bass was designed by Walter Hofner and launched at the Frankfurt Music Messe in 1956. It has since gone on to become one of the most recognizable electric bass guitars in the music world in terms of both looks and sound.

The Hofner 500/1 Vintage 64 model has the slim profile neck. White celluloid neck binding distinguishes the V64 from the other German made Hofner violin basses. The light weight of the fully hollow body will be appreciated after a long nights playing.
