One of best selling synthesizers of all time. If you listen to any album from 1983 and beyond there is a good chance the DX-7 was put to work.

The DX-7 and FM synthesis are commonly though of for their glassy, bell like tone but that can get quite aggressive with some programming and even emulate analog synths.
