The late 70's and 80's weren't all gloom and doom at Gibson. They built some very inspiring guitars like this all-silver metallic LP Standard. It's got some 70s features like the maple neck and volute, but the body is solid mahogany with a maple top -- no "pancake body" here. It has some extra holes from another set of tuners but it otherwise pretty good. Original "Tim Shaw" humbuckers are intact and sound glorious. Typical 70's neck shape with a thin-to-thick taper. 10 lbs. Comes with a Gibson "chainsaw" case to keep it safe.
