1973 Orange OR 80 Amplifier Head OR 120 Conversion Blue Man

1973 Orange OR 80 amplifier head that was owned and used by the Blue Man Group. This amp was used in the studio and o tout with Blue Man. It was maintained and serviced by their talented techs. This particular amplifier was converted to an OR120. It utilizes 4 EL34 power tubes to deliver an earth crushing volume. It is very clean until you get the volume up to about 2 o'clock. then look out. it has glorious harmonics and sustain. It comes alive and tears your head off. This is not a bedroom amplifier. The bass tone knob does not seem to function normally but it does not matter when the amp is going. Possibly the craziest sounding Orange we have had come through. It has a standby switch installed in the effect loop jack but no extra hole on the face  plate. Overall faded color great patina to the chassis. Really incredible amp.
