Product Description

Rickenbacker finally answered the prayers of all of us six-stringers and built a guitar around the sweeping lines of their iconic 4000-series basses. They then discontiued them and broke our heart in the process! Thankfully you can still find some vintage examples like this amazing Mapleglo 481. It features two beefy sounding humbuckers (and a coil tap to thin things out a bit and give you a cool middle position sound) along with a some ergonomically friendly slanted frets. Yep, slanted. The pickups and bridge are slanted at the same angle too. This was done to mimic the angle that your finger fall at when you bar across the fretboard and actually does feel quite comfortable. Other than that it looks and feels like a classic Rickenbacker. All maple body along with a rosewood capped maple neck. Iconic "R" tailpiece. Embossed truss cover.  8.2 lbs.
