Product Description

No matter how many other guitars we get to play we always come back to Gibson's might Les Paul Custom. There isn't a "bad era" for this classic design. It's always been their flag-ship, top-shelf six string.

This great '86 model actually came from a run of guitars that had factory stock chrome hardware for a little different look on the Custom. As with a lot of the guitars in the 80's the previous owner ran through a bunch of set of pickups in it over the years so the originals are gone. Right now it has a very beautiful sounding set of Seymour Duncan Antiquities which are more than appropriate for this guitar. The wiring harness is original.

The neck has a comfy medium profile, frets are the original medium jumbos, but dressed down a few times. Not yet in fretless wonder territory but not tall like a shredder guitar. The neck is typical of the era and very comfy. It tapers from .81 at the 1st to .97 at the 11th (neck neck transitions to the heel after the 11th). The worst of the paint wear is some "buckle rash" on the back. No breaks or repairs. Average weight for a 'Paul at 9.5 lbs.
