Product Description

The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe of late 60s and 70s might just be the most under-rated, over-looked guitar out there. Yes, that's quite and oddity for something with the words "Les Paul" on the headstock but that's how it has shaken out. While the internet obsesses over which full sized bucker is better or what necks should be made out of, players like myself gravitate to these pure tone machines. The mini-buckers are everything that's great about the best 'bucker but never suffer from being overly muddy. The can chime, chirp, or be mean as hell. Totally worth the price of admission.

There's nothing more quintessentially "Les Paul" than a Goldtop finish and this one looks great with plenty of real world wear. No breaks or repairs be found. By this period most Pauls had "pancake" bodies but somehow this one made it through the factory with a one piece mahogany body. Frets are original and in surprisingly good shape with good height. Not surprising is the beef of the guitar. As with most LP's of the 70s it is just under ten pounds at 9.9 lbs. All solder joints are original and pots date to 77.

Hard case included.
