Product Description

There's no hiding that the Bluesbird is Guild's take on the slightly more famous LP. :) They both have a carved maple top over a mahogany body, mated to a mahogany neck. The Bluesbird however comes with a nice and smooth feeling ebony fretboard though. Big thumbs up on that. The Guild humbuckers are just as amazing as their counterparts from those other guys and sound equally great clean and through an amp on "11." The neck has a very late-60's type thin neck profile. As with a lot of gear from this era this Guild has been modded a time or two. A previous owner had routed the top for a third pickup, added a switch to the top and added an extra output jack on the side. A later owner then hid these mods with a bigger pickguard and plugged the holes. Decent weight for a LP styled guitar 8.9 lbs. It's a very vibey 1-of-a-kind piece and the cherry red finish has a lot more flash than the typical brown finish that you see on most Guilds of this era.
