Product Description

If you want an authentic Maxwell-Street tone, you can't do much better than an old Chicago-built, department store special type guitar like this old Airline. Hollow body. Huge neck. Wooden bridge. Medium to low out put single "Hershey bar" pickup. Rough edges and plenty of wear but it's got a big personality that really wins you over. Action is low and very playable but it you want to raise it up I reckon this would make a great slide guitar. 24" scale. Single volume and single tone knob that can be taken in and out of the circuit with the slider switch. For all the various cheapo sixties guitars out there the Stratotone is one of the most iconic forms and earns a spot in any collection.
