Josh Siegel has over 10 years experience as a private guitar instructor since studying at the Berklee College of Music. His laid-back personality makes for a relaxed learning environment while the student develops their skills through songs. Josh believes that the two most important aspects in guitar lessons are: Finding music that the student connects with and has a strong desire to learn, and providing the student with a clear plan to effectively practice during their own time. Part of the time spent during each lesson will essentially be a coached practice session to teach the student how to structure their time spent with the guitar at home. In addition to teaching, Josh fronts the band Bailiff on guitar and vocals, spends too much time on the internet, enjoys movies and pizza, and can occasionally leverage himself into reading a book.

Adam McKinstry has over 15 years of experience as a private guitar instructor.  His experience as an educator began in high school, where he fast gained a reputation as an exceptional guitarist. During this time, a few of his classmates asked him if he would give them lessons.  After obtaining a degree in music theory and composition from Columbia where he was rated the top guitarist on fretboard jury for two consecutive years, he has been teaching ever since. As an educator he believes that one must not only create a curriculum and pay attention to the individual needs of a student, but also provide an environment that fosters their growth. To achieve this one must be kind, provide positive feedback and make the experience enjoyable.  His philosophy on music is that there is imitation and creation, but to truly create, one must first learn the established forms before one can break them. Eventually through discipline to these forms, one will see these forms not as absolutes governors, but instead a variety of tools that aid us in our artistic expression and enjoyment.  Since the age of twelve he has fronted a variety of bands, covering a variety of styles including Blues, Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Metal, Punk, Reggae, Ska, Shoegaze, Garage and his current Post-Punk inspired project “Twilight Idols.”
