It's just silly how cool this Ricky is. The bound top and back really make quite the visual statement and really make the f-hole pop. Give it couple of quick strums and you'll be convinced of its magic beyond just being a looker. It's semi-hollow and really well balanced at 7.3 lbs. As with all the "hard-to-put-down" guitars it has its fair share of marks in the paint but there's nothing too bad or out of the ordinary. Just good old fashioned, real-world play wear. The are some paint cracks around the neck/body joint but they are only in the paint. As it has seen a bit of action is has recently gotten some new frets, a pro-job all the way. They're a little bigger than stock so for those out there who love Rickenbackers but wish they use some bigger wire, here's the guitar for you. The pots, pickups, and switch are original though the capacitors were changed out. Rickenbacker may call these their high gain pickups but they're vintage flavored all the way and possess the trademark chimey tone you expect. We've got nothing bad to say about this one, it's a winner all the way. Rickenbacker hard case included.
