Product Description

A Gibson Goldtop has to be the most beautiful guitar in the land. It is the electric guitar perfected, almost from the word "go." Gibson just needed to invent the humbucker and TOM and then BAM! History.

This Deluxe is in nice shape, no cracks or breaks and the paint is all original and in good shape. When Gibson brought back the Les Paul as the Deluxe in 68 they came with mini-humbuckers. That's blasphemy to some, so you run across these Deluxes that were routed out for humbuckers from time to time. That brings them up to full Les Paul status. Right now it has a very lovely set of Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers for a very authentic vintage tone. Electronics are original and pots date to '73.

It's average in weight at 9.4 lbs and has a pretty typical late 60s/early 70s neck shape. It measures 1-11/16" wide at the nut and tapers from 0.812" thick at the 1st fret to 1.0" thick at the 12th.

Non-originial hard case included.
