Here's a bass that needs no introduction. Ever since its debut Fender's Precision bass has been the go-to electric bass. This '66 is cooler than cool and represents the best of what a good P-Bass should be. Somewhere along the way a thumb-rest was added above the pickguard but other than that it is all original and has no breaks or repairs. It's early enough that is still has all the hallmarks of the pre-CBS era with a thin nitro finish, real deal celluloid tortoiseshell pickguard, etc. Neck stamp and pot numbers date to 1966. Alder body is nice and light and the whole bass comes in at a very comfy 8.5 lbs. 1-11/16" wide at the nut. We've got it strung up with flat-wounds but we can set it up any way you like. One bass to rule them all! Original hard case included.
