Rickenbacker made a giant leap forward with their Capri Series guitars. The old clunky designs (frying pans, anyone???) were replaced with the sweeping modern lines that would go on to define the post-war era. The "toaster pickups" they introduced would go on to become one of the most instantly recognizable tones on record. This 360 is a real treat to hold in your hands. It has the original body and headstock shapes that haven't been offered in quite a while. The body doesn't feel as bulky as the modern 330 and 360. The Fireglo finish is about as classic as it comes for this iconic model.
As with a lot of guitars that survive for almost 60 years there have been some modifications to keep things running. First, the vibrato was removed long ago so it has a newer trapeze. That's not that uncommon as the vibrato wasn't best out there as evidenced by how many players put Bigsby unit on! The toaster pickups are correct but the wiring harness is newer as are the gold pickguards and knobs. The truss cover is correct as are the tuners and jackplate with the serial number.
The guitar is in good shape and very much looks its age. There is weather checking throughout the guitar and random small nicks and light scratches.
The pictured vintage Rickenbacker case is included, please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have.
