Product Description

Sometimes bigger is better, take this vintage Guild Country Club for example. That goes for everything from the 17" lower bout, to the big sound the early PAF Filtertrons kick out, to the generous neck size, and even the blonde finish which is may not be "big," but it's certainly bold. It's a shame how few vintage pieces were offered in a natural finish as it is one of the best looks for a guitar, particularly a hollowbody. This Gretsch has a spruce top, maple back, sides and neck, ebony fingerboard. It also some quite sturdy bracing and a sound-post under the bridge which definitely helps cut the urge to feedback a little. The binding is all in good shape and despite the general small nicks, scratches and weather checking you'd expect to find a piece of this vintage, it is in great shape. The neck is 1-11/16" wide at the nut, tapering from 0.84" thick at the 1st fret to 1.05" at the 9th fret. 8.1 lbs. 25.5" scale. Frets are tall in and in great shape too. Case included.
